Just because this will be on of those posts that I will most definitely will regret... Here's me (Chongo) and 6 hard metal Mexican Heads doing Ony, german porn style! I'm the Pally siting next to the hunter pretty much fixing my hair

And for the record... the music choice was not mine. I know, I know... you guys care :void:

Looks great! It almost makes me want to play the game again!

Do you think players will actually be able to kill the Lich King? I hope not... But then again, they said you wouldn't be able to kill Illidan so... It just seems kind of silly that they'd let you kill him so soon... He's a god, I figured they'd only let us kill him once they've decided to make a hard cap on levels so technically only the most powerful beings could kill him... On the other hand, killing him would finish up the rest of the business on Azeroth so that full focus could be put on exploring other worlds and the Emerald Dream... Unless you count having to fight the Naga nation in the ocean... But I bet they've forgotten about Our Lady Azshara. :p Regardless, I cant wait to explore Northrend, it's definitely my favorite of the continents. Lest we forget, the Blue Dragon Aspect Malygos lives in Northrend. ;)

Didn't he get taken over and is now an undead Dragon who lives in the Dragonblight? Also with Illidan, it wasn't the the Adventurers that killed him, it was Kama and the warden bitch. Regardless, its going to be pretty god damn weird when one of the top guilds (DnT or Nihlum) beat Arathas and possibly get Frostmourne.

Some of the things that people have been talking about is the new profession. People are saying that it may be the one profession that everyone will need to be competitive in not only PvE but also PvP. I may drop my mining to get it when it comes out, but then again the details on it are a little too sketchy.

On a different note, finally killed Mores in Kara last night! =\/ (Its a great accomplishment for us damn it!)

DEATH KNIGHT

He's different from a Warlock.

Really.
Warlocks with Plate, boy that doesn't sound like a pain in the ass to fight! Still though, everything is waaaaaaay to early to really know anything. So by the end of the year we should have more info.

Well it's been quite a while since it's been updated, and with the xpac on the horizon (november), I thought I'd do a little thread revival.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/

So first off we've got the introduction of the first hero class, the Death Knight, which as it happens is quite it's own class, much different than Warlock.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/features/deathknight/gameplay.xml

As to some of the newer features:

- A new zone dedicated entirely to PVP. Finally. Think non-instanced battleground.

- A new battleground incorporating siege weapons and destructible buildings.

- Aerial combat (though not much has been said on it yet)

- Barbershops (T_T), new profession (inscription, which is basically enchanting, but applied to a player's spells and abilities as opposed to armor), multi-passenger mounts, achievements, new dances (-_-), and two new arenas.

- Improved Graphics Engine. Thank god.

I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of stuff out as well, but thought I'd get the ball rolling. I'm all about the new PVP changes, been waiting for Siege Weapons since the original WoW was in it's beta stages. Also the multi-passenger mount, since me and my girlfriend (I'm DPS and she's a healer) are basically connected at the hip in this game.

Also, I will not be picking up on the flavor of the month and creating a Death Knight. My rogue is basically an e-extension of me at this point, and I enjoy my Warrior (accompanied with my girl's druid) just a bit too much to switch him out.

Well for me I had to give up WoW because to do anything really worth while would require a lot of time whether you want to do the higher end raids or actually do good in Arena's.

From what I understand the improved graphics aren't really that improved, some of the screen shots from Wrath look really the same. Here are a list of things that go into a bit more detail about some of the new things from Wrath.

-Death Knights can be created if you have at least one character that is level 70 I believe and the Death Knight will start in Eastern Plague Lands at level 55.

-Death Knights are caster killers and have the unique ability to tank with two handed weapons (haha dumb warriors from back in the day!).

-Death Knights will not use up a normal character slot so if you have a full list of characters on a server, don't worry, you don't have to delete any of them.

-New BG from what i have heard but i don't know much of it.

-New arena mechanics such as pillars and floors moving which will take away wall humping (still sucks for some classes like Hunters)

-New level cap obviously, up to level 80

-Other stuff

In any case I think I am finally free from the game after 3 and a half years. Things just got tedious but if you are one that still enjoys the game, then Wrath is going to have plenty of stuff that you love.

Courtesy of Grail's doodling.
I had to stop playing not long after getting the Burning Crusade. I just didn't have the time and couldn't justify the monthly fee. This new expansion would really have to wow (pun partially intended) me if I was to even consider playing WoW again. As far as I can tell it's mostly just new areas with small tweaks and improvements sprinkled on top, which isn't enough.

Having played beta for a few weeks, Wrath is most definitely worth it - a lot more variety and sensible changes. It's a straight continuation of Frozen Throne plot-wise and some major changes go down with major characters on both sides.

Death Knights are also bad ass.

Blizzard wins $6M in lawsuit against bot exploiters

http://pc.ign.com/articles/915/915660p1.html

A US district court has awarded Blizzard Entertainment with $6 million in a legal dispute between the developer and bot maker MDY. MDY is the company behind the Glider bot, which allowed users to automate tasks such as gold farming and menial leveling in Blizzard's popular MMO World of Warcraft.
I didn't know the guys who coded these bots HAD $6 M.

According to the BBC, 100,000 copies of the Glider software were sold for $25.
Oh. Wow. I mean... WoooooooW.

Well there is a lot of shit going on with this namely on what basis they had stated on how this company was infringing.

Namely that the glider program loads certain portions of WoW into the RAM and thus makes an unathorized duplicate of the game. :schierke:

The Ultimate Battle Creature
I had an account and was playing on Llane, Horde for about 2 years. I'm going to return with the expansion out, but I think I'll have a social life until then.

I used to play then I quit about January of this year. I'm probably going to come back this or next week when 3.0 patch goes live and I'll reroll since I like the stat tracking that achievements give. I like being able to see my biggest crits all the damage I've done etc.

EDIT : I'll be on Area 52 US Server. I won't say the name I'll pick since someone might grab it.

Holy hell in a handbag! That guy is really serious about his WoW! :isidro:

Anyhow, I've just started playing lately, I'm not a very high level as of yet, but I'm getting there.

This has to be the biggest waste of money and neurons I have seen. Clearly this is comedy gold right here, but the dude is going for a rude awakening if he thinks he can get away with loots like that. Clearly a 10 man raid COULD be an option, but no way no how this kid is going for the big daddy 25 man. You just made my day Aaz. :badbone:

I don't understand.... how can he control all of them at once? Like, feasibly what does he DO to make it work effectively?

I know there are macros and such to box up to 5 characters with ease. He probably only controls one character per group. I once saw a PVP video of a man 5-boxxing shaman, he's click lighting on his main and the other 4 would cast it as well.

I've never seen the attraction to WoW over free MMOs.
Since I hate wasting money for things I can get for free, I've never played WoW longer than a week at a time (they used to offer a week-long free trial, dunno if they still do).
I disliked the client's performance and the fact that I couldn't really use any instant messengers while playing (something I can't go long without under normal circumstances), so I never really got into it.

Speaking of the 10 day free trail I have a code for one laying around. Anyone want it? PM me.

Yeah that's how the guy does it. Notice how all his characters are the same class too.

Hmm. You didn't check the "windowed mode" box, did you. :p It doesn't shrink the screen, and makes it VERY easy to alt-tab to your instant messaging programs whenever you want... found this out my first week of playing the game when it came out way back when. :)

Though yes, the client's performance can be a hog when it's not in windowed mode, and it's still somewhat of a hog even in that mode. But most computers nowadays shouldn't have a problem with it.
