It's not doing that bad. Volumes 1-3 are in their 5th printing or so. That doesn't happen with every series.conan said:Berserk is really losing popularity in USA right now. W/ no anime or cartoon to support it on TV at the moment, a manga that comes out every OTHER month from Dark HOrse, and a small but loyal cult following; Berserk looks like it's going to the wayside here in the states...
I'm not a collector personally, but I might be if the sale price for most of the figures was a little more reasonable. Somehow I keep thinking AoW is just skimming a 75-90% profit on most of these statues. They're high quality sure but... THAT high quality? If I'm wrong, please correct and trounce me.I spoke for quite a while w/ Tetsuya Nakashima, the sales dept. manager over at Yamato (Yamato Group- both USA and Japan) and he said there is less and less Berserk coming stateside, though Yamato USA will try to put out at least a few of everything that Yamato Japan does as well (reason for small #s on the Berserker PVC).
