Here is a picture I'm trying to color...

I checked out the avatars...the official colorings....these bad boys are orange....and the fog is typically grey...SO personally id leave it grey and maybe to slight overlays on parts of the fog to simluate the fire.

still working on fog and fire 

and im not liking the eyes too much...

Fire looks much better. You might try spreading it out and making it more tranluscent though. As for the eyes, I'd started a small section of the Daka in that picture for the above mentioned encyclopedia. As soon as I finish you might check them out.

you should make the red of the daka fade as they are in the middle of fog..
i think if you would add a little grey... hmm

All jokes aside, it looks pretty decent. Not knowing much about Photoshop, I don't know what kind of pointers I could give you. The purple text suits Orochimaru well.
