I'll be seeing it this weekend, based on the great reviews. I'll admit though, I don't really have any strong personal desire to see it.Rhombaad said:I haven't seen it yet but I plan to. I agree, it looks as good as any other Pixar movie (except Cars ).
No, I liked them. It's just hard to get excited for a third movie that no one really asked for that came out of nowhere.Oburi said:You didn't like the first two walter? I was a bit younger when they came out there is that aspect to it, but imho toy story 1 and 2 were two of pixars best, next to wall-E, which I finally got around to seing and was floored by.
Death May Die said:Toy Story 3 is the best movie I've seem so far this summer. I recommend it.
Walter said:I actually think someone else should handle The Hobbit because of the shift in tone between it and Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit is much more lighthearted and comical. So, I'd prefer someone with less of a heavy melodramatic hand to handle it.
SimplyEd said:i wholeheatedly support that notion. Plus i'd like a little less emphasize on CG this time around. That reminds me, i'm still very much interested in that movie adaption of the Silmarillion, which resurfaces every so often on the net. I personally think it can be done although it'd turn out absurdly long. Also it would probably feature more computer generated "wonders" than Avatar did...which makes me shudder a bit. It would be great if some directors would return the focus of movie making on acting and atmosphere. I'm a bit tired of obviously superficial plastic crap, like the Transformers flicks and their ilk.

Make audiences read a book for christ's sake; it won't kill em.
Deci said:Can you post a link to the Silmarillion movie? I've never heard of that being a possibility and with the problems with The Hobbit, I can't think of it of being a possibility.
