Movies to look forward to

Watched a afternoon screening of the new Wolverine. Had a lot of good moments. Nothing ruined it for me really, yet it didn't exactly prevail at blowing me away. 7/10.

Ken Marino is absolutely hilarious. Too bad he doesn't get enough good roles. I HIGHLY recommend The Ten, if you haven't seen it. It's absurdly funny. He's amazing in it.

Then doesn't it go without saying that people should watch The State as well? And Wet Hot American Summer?

Given the Berserk/Evil Dead 2 similarities, I thought people might be interested to know that the Evil Dead 2 remake is now official. Fede Alvarez is writing the script, but it's not a definite he's directing again this time, yet. http://collider.com/evil-dead-2-sequel-fede-alvarez-interview/

I've seen a shit ton of movies this summer, just like I predicted during the fall season I knew I would end up spending most of my summer in theaters because so many good movies were coming out then. I've seen almost everything I wanted to see this summer, the only things left for me are Kick Ass 2, Pacific Rim, Elysium, and Grown Ups 2. I especially want to see kick ass 2 though, that's like the primary movie I've been excited to see all year long. It comes out this Friday so I'm am extremely pumped to see it, the comic kicked ass and I am sure the movie will do the comic justice.

Miyazaki's The Wind Rises - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhHoCnRg1Yw - it's a 4+ minute trailer, I could help but watch all of it because everything about it is so beautiful.

Unbeatable looks like fun - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIW3FovQ5_k

IP Man The Final Fight ... promising, plus I like seeing master's fight on-screen (generally speaking) cos there's a certain enigma about them - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKRQpmPpPug

Earlier this year we were treated with Europa Report which was good imo with it's technically sound approach, it looks like another cool looking flick - Gravity - has positive early reviews and James Cameron saying -

“I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time, Alfonso and Sandra working together to create an absolutely seamless portrayal of a woman fighting for her life in zero gravity…. She’s the one that had to take on this unbelievable challenge to perform it. [It was] probably no less demanding than a Cirque du Soleil performer, from what I can see.”

Sci-fi fans rejoice!? I can't wait, although I don't anticipate it being better than 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Wes Anderson's new flick The Grand Budapest Hotel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bTbW70umbQ

Gonna go blind with this, posting the trailer for you guys to check out ^_^

The new Evil Dead movie is supposed to exist within the same universe as the originals, hence the Ash cameo after the credits. They're going forward with Evil Dead 2, then eventually an Evil Dead 3 and an Army of Darkness 2, all leading up to... well, here. I just found it.

He told audiences that an Evil Dead 2 (followed by a planned Evil Dead 3), and the recently announced Army of Darkness 2, will eventually crossover for the ultimate cult horror movie Evil Dead 7, reports Movieweb. So, after two sequels to the current remake – the remake universe will collide with the old “Ash” universe in a film that will amount to be the 4th installment in both franchises.

At this time, Sam .....

That's the plan, anyway. I still haven't seen the new one but I look forward to it.
