As you say, a symbol against Ganishka. As someone once said (and it shows up in KOTOR), a hero that stops a tyrant is only a hero because the tyrant was in power. If the hero stops the tyrant prior to him becoming a tyrant, he isn't a hero. It's all about how others precieve...

Somehow I think Gattsu would be the one dying in the end. Griffith would survive, but would be changed (probably by the fact that Gattsu managed to make Griffith emotional again).
I can imagine the last manga having these events: The hand of God being destroyed by Skullknight who sacrifices...

The ending of the movie is nice, the ending of the final battle is just disappointing (IMO)
Underworld was nice on the "cool" factor, it was kinda sad for all the power factors though and I have to say the end fight was kinda anti-climatic, especially it's ending.
Bottom line, it was cool, worth seeing, but it could have been a hell of a lot better. I rate it at about the same level...
