:/ I think the point of "English readers having to wait longer" is that well, the first 25 volumes are already complete and published in Japan. We English/American readers would certainly like to get our hands on more than one Dark Horse volume every three months for that reason. They can put them out all at once if they really want to, but who wants that? Not I - then we'd have to be waiting for new volumes to come out in Japan, then get translated and put out here. My gripe is that 25 volumes is going to take a long time to release here, and I really don't want to wait nearly two years JUST to get to volume 12, around where the anime stops. I want to read what happens AFTER the anime...and I don't CARE how long Japanese readers had to wait. Word.

Because the Japanese don't wait they read it in their native language semi-montly, or semi-annualy as the volumes go.

If you've been paying attention to Dark horses site you'd notice that the dates change frequently Trigun went from the end of november to the begining of october so i'm sure the release date will be bumped up

Wait time to read in Japanese + Wait time to read in English = Longer.
The rate of release will be quicker, but the wait will have been longer.

Yeah, we've all been waiting for 14 years, and Volume 1 is just about to come out ::)

But seriously, I can live with pace of 2/3 months... Just be happy Berserk is coming to you in English, and hope Dark Horse does a respectable job on it.

If you've already "waited for the Japanese version", it means you've already read at least quite a bit of the series, right?
And again, Japanese readers had to wait as well. And a lot of them started reading well before you did.
The rate of release will be quicker, but the wait will have been longer.

Sheesh... If anything, your situation is getting _better_, with that official English language release, and still, you're whining about it...

Currently we english readers wait to read Berserk in Japanese for the same length of time as the Japanese themselves. We have to wait beyond that to read it in our native language.

A man of your infinite wisdom should have gotten the point by now.

Both versions will be running simultaneously! It's not like you'll have to wait the whole month of January for one version, and then once again for the other! ^__^;
