Looks very nice.  You did a great job!
Great color choice Rage! You captured the details perfectly. Whoever receives this for Christmas is going to be thanking you for a long time! :zodd:
Thank you! And I bet he will :iva:

Hot damn that Zodd looks great.
By the way, did you use oils or acrylics for that one?
Most appreciated  :guts:
Ha, I am not an experienced painter and thought I was using acrylics, but it was actually gouache. Was wondering the whole time why the colors didn't dry like they were supposed to and kept mixing. And smelling weird. This way it really took me hours and hours until I got the face right...

Hi miss  :guts: nice work on the canva  :ubik: I prefer your drawings the second of mozguz flying to heaven is really amazing  :SK: what's the next?

Glad you like it  :slan: Unfortunately no plans for more, yet. This is pure fun for me, but I will have to spent a lot more time on my university projects for the next months.

Thank you all!

Here I painted mighty Zodd on tiny canvas.  :zodd:
This will make a great Christmas present.

Thanks a lot for your nice feedback, it is most appreciated!

Today I did this drawing of Schierke in my notebook and colored it for a nice new avatar.

What an exciting and beautiful episode!

I like the panel where the now faceless Rakshas is looking down on his broken mask the best. It feels very tragic, especially seeing him floating away with a lowered head. Without a mask, it seems like he thinks of himself as nothing more than a shapeless being. He still can get away but his fighting spirit is lost.

I'm still hoping that Rakshas, as crazy as he is, pulls a Vader down the road and intervenes in the good fight.  Yea, not likely, but he's obviously holding back and I'm super excited to hear more about his past.
I am also VERY curious about his backstory. Was it his wish to loose his own identity to become a better assassin? What do you think he sacrifced to become an apostle?

The Tapasa trying to play nice got a big laugh out of me, that crying cat as well.  :ubik:

Everyone's expression in these panels is priceless  :serpico:

Just a bit of smoothing out, and add in a few nicks and faux pitting, and this guy is done. I've already removed it, but see if you can spot the inaccuracy in this.

Hmm, was the dividing arch on top of the helmet a little off center? Now the whole helmet looks perfectly symmetrical.

These three pieces all look impeccable. Truly a product of your perfectionism perseverance :ubik:

I was wondering about your Void head, how will you be able to see when you are wearing it? Will you peek through little holes of the stitches?

I like these too, great mood, subtle.  Nice work.

Hearing that form you fills me with joy. I love your colorizations a lot and your tutorial helped me out. Now I started projects where I draw under the lineart.

Cool stuff, Rage! It seems like your experimenting has paid off! :slan: I'm a bit mesmerized by this coloring style; the way that you draw from many similar/less saturated colors while having some elements that pop make it impressive to look at (the flame/smoke erupting on Mozgus's body, the Skull Knight's sword being two examples). But even then, you still highlight the black/white contrasts that make the original work so engaging. :ubik:
Thank you, really a good observation. Those experimaental steps (I just didn't know how coloring is done) of just coloring the lineart helped me setting the mood for new versions I am planning to do now.

Yeah... I finished reworking this A LOT. For now I will do panels where a little less is going on, this took me a few days :mozgus:

Thank you very much! Here is a lunatic Nina to show some gratitude.

The only thing I'll point out is that Guts' face appears a little too orange on the page where he's tossing Moz over the cliff.
I will work on that :serpico:

There are so many amazing panels of Berserk I would love to to have as a desktop wallpaper or printed as a poster, but unfortunately the black and white scans are just too bleak to use them as they are. So recently I experimented a little with Photoshop, and these are my first results.

Better resolution:

I really enjoy making these, and will continue to to do them in my free time.
If you guys have any panels in mind that you want to see colored in this fashion, I am open for suggestions.
Also, please give my advice on what I could do to improve :daiba:

Finally I found the time to listen to your two latest podcasts, I am also excited about your Mad Max discussion.

Unfortunately I am having problems connecting to the links for all of your podcasts right now, the pages just won't load for me. :isidro:
Am I the only one having this issue?

UPDATE: It is most likely just me, as I also have trouble with downloading (not streaming) other podcasts from other sites. Changing the browser on my desktop PC doesn't solve the problem, but trying it on my laptop does. I have no idea how I can solve this, if someone can help me out I would very much appreciate it.

That's great!  :ubik:

And cool sig ya got there too.  :slan:

Thanks a lot! It's such a happy tree...

Wow! Is that a single contour? Fucking impressive, man!

Well... I'm sure I cheated at some point :carcus:
This is how I do a lot of my drawings. I am good with lines and contours, not so much with contrasts and shading. I am not doing a lot of digital painting, but it sure makes those decisions easier. Maybe I am doing a real painting with this as a basis.

I am like 10 hours into Shin Megami Tensei IV, which hasn't been out in Europe until very recently.  This is my first SMT, so far I've only played Persona 3 and 4, which made me me familiar with the demon-collecting-gameplay. It is super addicting. So far I love it, the setting is really interesting and the artwork is amazing.
Just look at this awesome boss design:
The perfect fusion of Zodd and Skull Knight...
But right now I am stuck :farnese:. Maybe you can help me, I just reached Tokyo and I am supposed to find some military base. I don't know where to look for it, the map view is kind of weird...

I am really pleased you like it!
That sounds like a really cool project! Are you an animation student?
I am studying Art and Design at Bauhaus-University Weimar, where we can choose a project for each semester. This can be photography, typography, this time I am attending a video-project where we can make short films with cameras or animation. It is really amazing that we are allowed to do pretty much anything we want and I can spent time on this project of mine, a little underwater-sequence:

I am still teaching myself how to do proper movements and my progress is very slow, I can be proud when I can make a second a day. So hopefully I can finish this in time.

It can be quite lonely just sitting on my desk all day, so it's really nice to meet you here!

Hello everybody, so this is my first post!
First I wanted to say my thanks, I am so glad that this community exists where I can find people who are as passionate about this series as me. The last months I've been working on my first frame-by-frame-animation project, and all I did day after day was drawing and listening to the SkullKast. Which makes all the work a really fun experience!
I really don't know how I can thank you enough for that, maybe this drawing of Zodd all dressed up is a start.

Also I wanted to ask how I can upload this as my avatar, I have to admit that I couldn't figure that out by myself...
Once I made some more progress on my animation, I would love to share it with you.
