Yeah... it's been an enlightening experience for me about most members' priorities when it comes to Berserk.

SK attacks Femto, we see the Berserk world from outer space. Who cares!
SKnet lands an interview with Miura? Meehhhhh.
But, SEAZON 2!?? :schnoz: :rakshas: :isidro: :???:

Now don't be like that Wally... I've been following the manga a bit slower than darkhorse has been pumping them out, but I still follow it. I just kinda stopped visiting the community... It's not like it was plastered all over the internet when you guys landed that interview with Miura... :p

But the fact that the video and the news don't really give anything and this is the best fan site for Berserk I have ever known made me want to come back and see what you guys were saying about it... I actually read the whole thread and lurked a bit before I decided to try to remember my password and log in.

But cheers and kudos to you guys. It makes me happy to know the site is still around and you guys got that interview! ^_^

and just to remember old times... *drinks sake* lol

« on: February 04, 2005, 12:20:36 AM »
Wrong. Just because we didn't see good movies doesn't mean good movies weren't out there.

Well considering the ones we did see, lets give it a 70% chance the movie sucked if you didnt see it...  :P

Im not saying ALL movies sucked... Im saying the mayority sucked which is why 2004 sucked movie-wise... ;D

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Top Ten Movies of 2004
« on: February 03, 2005, 11:53:56 PM »
Collateral was released last year, ie, 2004.

Chronicles of Riddick was utter garbage.
Ditto for Hidalgo. I don't really care for the whole "OMG AMERIKKA SUX WE KILLED INDIANS" attitude throughout the film, but it was decent until the Native American ancestors popped up, that ranks up there with Van Helsing as far as beating the audience over the head.
Tritto for Kill Bill 2. Zzzz.

Eternal Sunshine was alright, but I don't really consider it among my top 10, it was just too middling. Maybe if they had gotten some decent actors instead of Kirsten Dunst and Elijah Wood to play the 'real-life' portion of the movie, it could've been decent. I find that whole plotline poorly conceived, though. Adaptation was Kaufmann's high point (probably because it's about him).

Well most of us did point out that 2004 sucked movie-wise (If I didnt Im pointing it out now). And I see you agree with us but I think the purpose of the thread is to point out what you consider the best of 2004. Right?

So whats your opinion? Even if you would have to say its "the best of the worst"?

What about Hidalgo? I enjoyed that movie...  :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, and The Passion of the Christ was very well made.

EDIT#2: And maybe Troy?

The book sounds like utter tripe, just like The Da Vinci Code. The real villain in the Da Vinci Code was XXXXXX XXXXXXX, and now I see that evil, politically motivated excuse for a scholar is going to impugn the saintly organization of Illuminati.

This is a spoiler for those who hanvt read the book man, Id suggest maybe editing your post?

Ever read any of Tim Burton's stoies?
My favorite would most likely be Robot Boy from my book of his short stories.  Well more like Dr. Seuss poems.  Hilarious. ;D

"microwave blender" indeed... LOL, that was funny man.

Edit: I just finished reading the other poems/short stories/watchamacallit and I have to say Tim Burton has a really wierd mind.

  You forgot the food.

Oh yeah the food... mmmmm... alcapurrias and pasteles and pinchos and mofongo and pernil and carne frita and...

MMMM... greasy food from Piņones... *rubs tummy*

And if I am not mistaken, I believe Griff takes drinks only from New Zeeland  ;)

This is true. ;)

So then you import Bacardi from New Zeeland that was originally imported from Puerto Rico?  :P

P.S. Im getting hungry now...

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Where are you from?
« on: January 28, 2005, 08:26:52 PM »
See, this is the type of thing I was joking about in the first place, at least you pointed out that Puerto Rico is in fact a beautiful Caribbean island. And I'm sure Puerto Rico has awesome fish; the foundation of greatness by which all places should measured. :)

LOL! Dont forget the women...

Seriously tho' I suggest anyone, if they wanna take vacations to come over...
And always remember that if you do come down you HAVE to visit the island of Culebra.  8)

Plus we make the best rums in the world... Bacardi, Don Q, Captain Morgan and others... ;D

Having no credit card = no win.
Being too poor and lazy slob to get credit card = even less win.

Cant you apply for credit cards online?

Sorry, I don't care to visit, and frankly, I think they rather come here anyway. :-*
Don't start throwing kisses at me man! Damn! -_-

I wouldn't bet on that Griff ;)

Me either...

Plus GriffNoMo', if you knew how beautiful this island is, you would probably like to move here. I say its better than Cali... even the beaches and the fish are prettier!

Hell, buy swampland if it'll get you out of Puerto Rico, just bring some women from there when you come. ;D

If you like our women so much... why dont you grace us with your "beauty"?

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Where are you from?
« on: January 28, 2005, 07:47:20 PM »
No, we've just gotten accustomed to the hostility that marks bitter envy, it's like a sixth sense. ;)

Anyway, I was just talking about America, as for California, since it is the best place in America, us Cali natives are extra sensitive to the jealousy of the lesser World, even our own pathetic countryman. Don't worry, you should have the satisfaction of knowing that one day a giant earthquake will likely wipe all of us beautiful people out. ;D

Learned to swim yet? ::)
I think Ill be buying "beachfront" property in Arizona in a few years. ;)

Dammit! -_-
Why cant Sammy release it in the US? Fucking bastards... :'(

Our main stereotype about the rest of the world is that they're jealous. ;D

Why is that GriffNoMo?

Is it cuz "The Terminator" is your governor?

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Where are you from?

Brazil?(Puerto Rico).

I've got question to persons which still are leaving in their "Home Country". How much Berserk is popular in your country?

Not very popular... anime is not a big culture here... maybe from the 4 million ppl living here, about 20k to 40k are real anime fans. And as for manga... its even less common than anime.

Have you got some good websites about Berserk?

No not really... At least not that I know of...
*looks around*
Nomad... You know of any?

The absolute stereotype here is that americans are either very fat, or very triggerhappy.(not my personal opinion, so don`t flame me)

One of the stereotypes here is that americans (united states citizens) are rich, emotionless bastards who want to take over everything... :P
