ReReading through Songs of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.  Hoping he wont croak like Jordan did and finish his series!

Bought the book. See what this is all about now. :guts:

It was written in 1956, so it's not even close to being public domain yet. Just go to the library if you're a cheapskate.

PS: A library is a city/county-established facility that allows you to RENT books at no charge. The facility is typically paid for by tax dollars. A small fee may be charged if the book is not returned within a set number of days. You should look into it in your town.

PPS: Books are bound printed works consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers. Printed on the page is information ranging from fiction to nonfiction to records. They are generally priced at a nominal fee and are generally not digestible by human stomach acids and are thus not considered food.

oh man. thats the greatest post ever! Thanks Walter. You made my morning.

I'll be right behind Walter.

Ok. I never read the novel. I read Aaz's summary tho. Wow.

Why did the Dark Seekers NEED to be CGI. Their faces were too stretchy. I felt like I was watching an odd version of I, Robot. UGH.

Dog was cool. Cooler than Smith. Oh yea, and the the whole Shrek bit...SO NECESSARY. :schierke:

I'd be memorizing Shrek too if thats all there was to do.  I think I'd have a huge collection of porn from all the shops across NYC too.  What a dull life alone.     The Dog was cooler than Smith.

Are you kidding me? :ganishka:

I never read the book, so I wouldn't know.  Wish they didn't CGI the zombies though. Would have been better if they were real people instead.  Similar to the vampires from 30 days of night.

Movies, TV, Books & Music / Re: Favorite Anime MOVIE of all time
« on: January 01, 2006, 10:56:54 PM »
Not before it came out in Japan, no (nor in Europe for that matter). :SK:

I understand that it came out earlier in Japan.  Being half Japanese we got to see many things before it hit the mainland US.   I owned only Voltron the Cars from Japan when I was in the 4th grade.  The kids went wild.. haha.

At the time though, transformers the movie and GI Joe the movie were what caught my attention. I  could not be older than 7-8 years old.  That was my favorite animation of all time.

Of course now my favorite anime of all time is BERSERk..  Bastard comes in a very close 2nd.  I also enjoyed the Gungrave series.
