Yes, that is beyond awesome news. I haven't played either of them yet and always wanted to and now finally I may get my chance. Too bad it is still only a rumor but I hope it will be true.

Same here, I per-ordered at GameStop a few days ago and have been playing with a couple of friends. I'm really enjoying the game so far even more than Dawn of War 2 even though Starcraft 2 isn't very innovative it has it where it counts.

My name on Battle.net is Mithril.wing if anyone would like to play.

I very much enjoyed this episode and have always been satisfied with the direction and tone Berserk has been taking. One of my favorite things about Berserk is how it is a dynamic ever changing and evolving world. In my opinion this makes its feel more believable and interesting to learn about.

I don't understand why people complain so much since Berserk has always been amazing in quality.

Speculation Nation / Re: Will Guts ever be as famous as Griffith?

I think that, if he is ever able to defeat Griffith, he will be become even more famous than Griffith simply because he will be known as the one who defeated the great White Hawk.

I'm thinking of maybe picking it up, I love the idea of the online features and the player made towns in it. I've heard the game is a lot better than a lot of reviews have been making it out to be.

10 years changes things, and Rebellions most recent games before this one were pretty mediocre. I was just hoping maybe this would be the game that turns things around for them but obivously not.

I mean do the developers not see or have time to fix the obvious flaws in this game? The only improvement I've heard the full game will have over the demo is adding the ability for the Alien to detach from walls to the floor with a button.

It's not like I didn't expect this game to be mediocre, I mean it was developed by Rebellion. A lot of people I've talked to thought I was crazy for thinking it as they think I'm crazy for saying Castlevania lords of shadow is gonna be mediocre because of who is developing it.

I have even been quite generous with Alien vs Predator so far but the more I play it the more apparent the quality of the game becomes.

Just got finished playing it for awhile, the balance between the races is good, none seems too weak or too strong. However, I think the controls are a little clunky.

Then there is finishing moves and melee combat which is okay but feels very automated because you lock on when you do melee and its basically like auto aim where all you have to do is click attack. The finishing moves are like that as well, you just get near them from behind and press E and it does the finisher, the range is pretty generous as well you can be good a distance behind them, to pull it off and that is how most people kill from what I've played.

I had to switch from Vanguard to another class because it was changed to close combat focus and I felt I was using my SMG more than anything else, this after 18 hours of play with Vanguard.

I've been playing on Veteran and Hardcore difficulties too so that makes the biotics of the vangurad even less useful to me because they only work on shieldless/barrierless enemies and when they get that low its better to just shoot them anyway. You also get mowed down pretty quick as well. I found tech powers to be much more useful as well as just pure combat abilities. You can't really combine powers anymore either because of the global cool down unless you have squad members with biotics to compliment yours and even then since it requires to be on unshielded enemies it usually just kills them with one ability.

My biggest complaint is how they took a lot of the RPG elements out of the game entirely instead of trying to improve on them though.

Soldier is fun, but it is a little too easy. I mean I'm blowing through enemies that took a bit more work as my Vanguard.

So what classes are you guys playing as? I started out as Vanguard but really didn't like the close combat focus of that class, so now I'm trying out soldier but enigneer looks interesting as well. So does Infiltrator because its a combo of tech and combat.

I'm playing on PC with high settings. I tend to use submachine guns(Tempest) since I'm a Vanguard as well as assault rifles(Vincidator) as my advanced weapon training probably should have gone sniper but I'm using thane as one and I like assault rifles. I'm kinda wishing I went Soldier because I don't use abilities too often trying to use em more and they are kinda meh.

I like the improvements to the classes, the combat system and the heavy weapons, but I'm not liking the resource gathering and the fact they removed equipment from the game. The characters this time around are far more interesting too.

I've beaten it awhile ago on my Dalish Elf, but I didn't hardly any of the side-quests. So now I'm playing through as my Human Noble going to make some different choices and do all the side-quests I can find.

Also: Did you guys do the thing were you can get Loghain as a companion? There is a way you can do it but it makes Alistair leave, I am wondering if any of you guys tried it.

Are you playing while logged in to Bioware? If so all the screens you take should upload to your profile on the website. I'm not sure if this is only a PC feature or not though.

Spoilers for those who haven't played Dragon Age yet: Apparently you go there to reclaim former King Cailan's gaudy golden armor. It also adds "A second chance to add Dog to your party". Who the fuck messed that up that they'd need a second chance?  :schierke:

You'll be surprised, I believe the Human Noble is the only one that gets it in the origin story, The way I got it was I had to go out of my way in ostagar and talk to the guy at the kennel that gives a side quest to get the dog. It's easy to overlook and your just running through doing the main story line. I actually did the quest but by the time I came back the dog was already dead in the kennel so I missed it.

There is a lot more to it than just the pause mechanic though, you can many many abilities that you can use and learning how to use all your companions abilities with each other has a good level of strategy to it as well. For example distracting a enemy with one character, while getting in position with your rogue or combining spells together.

Video Games / Re: Controversy over Modern Warfare 2
« on: November 18, 2009, 06:19:40 PM »
Hahaha ya, I've seen that video before Bob, one of my friends that is currently serving in the millitary got a kick out of it.

I think the whole thing is being blown out of proportion and it is the fact it is in an airport that stirring up this controversy. I mean there is a lot worse in many other video games and movies and they don't nearly get the same amount of controversy as this does. The developers were trying to one up themselves over the first Modern Warfare which is why I think they put this in the first place, just to get people talking.

The key is to get your combat tactics set up so they work to your advantage and to get used to using the pause function to issue commands to your party members, it helps a lot. However I'm similar to you in that I'm not very good at micro managing or pausing all the time etc, so I just put the difficulty on easy and its fine.

I have also decided to stick with my Dalish Elf now which is pretty interesting.

I had to turn this down game down to easy because this one boss was I had to fight in the first area I went to was ridiculous that and I'm not good at micro managing, and rarely pause.

Ya, I have a friend of mine playing as a Dwarf Nobleman and he said he really enjoyed their origin story. The dwarves in this actually look like small people in this instead of the usual round and stumpy things.

The amount of content in this game is astounding, I've already played a good 8 hours and I'm barely through the beginning of the game. Of course that might also have to do with that I am trying two different characters, each about 4 hours in. The game is a good challenge at times too where is you could go in and lose badly but then if you change around your tactics you could dominate and I like that. The story and character interactions are amazing as well. The only problem is in the very beginning of the game you don't have much access to healing items/spells unless your a mage but other than that its one of the greatest games out there.

I don't have many of the party members yet but I'm thinking of going with a warrior, melee rogue, ranged rogue, and a mage with some healing.

So, am I the only one with a Elf character here?  :serpico:

@Uriel, ya it looks like you should be able to run it, your RAM and Video card will definitely be able to handle it. The only thing I would be worried about is your processor, its a bit better than the required but not very close to the recommended. You should be able to run it about low-medium settings I think.

I'm really enjoying the game so far in all its aspects, I'm just torn between either Human Noble or Dalish Elf, I have both but just can't decide :???:.
