Only Skull Knight bust and PVC statue left!

Prices are up and fair ones.

Hello to my fellow collectors,

I have to sell the most part of my collection due to relocation. Currently everything is packed but I will provide any pictures or a short video by requests and I assure you that everything is in perfect condition and never left my shelves.
Up for sale:

No. 118 Guts & Slan: God Hand - SOLD
No. 398 Femto: The Birth/1:10 scale  *Repaint Version 2015 - SOLD
No. 306 Guts & Casca /1:10 Scale- Red Version - SOLD

As for payment I would like to request Western Union because of paypal fees. Paypal is okay now!

With the best regards!

The fact that this is even a discussion we're having is so sad :p for shame AoW.
So true  :ubik:
Speaking of "favorite" I must say that I always imagined dark red muscles in berserker armor joints, so for me last repaint and 2015 version looks like I always expected. The only disadvantage is eye holes in the helmet.
I also like bone version of the Skull Knight the most, and dream to obtain it.

What makes you believe that they do? Your rationale, that because they only re-release old stuff it must mean it's what the majority of their clients want, is flawed. It's just that re-releases are much more cost-effective for them.
I mail them a lot. Some months ago I got a response that people requests 20th anniversary re-release more than anything else and they confused because of "last repaint", guts&slan and zodd&wyald were the next most requested. I'm not sure if new statue cost really much than a rerelease, in terms of development a new sculpt for sure but we don't know how much it affects the product price.

They could treat it way better, improve it 1000 times, it's not the problem that matters here.
If you release something you sell, saying it's a limited product with a number that even comes with a plate, then there is a serious problem If you decide to re-release it later, even 10 years later. Because it makes the previous products less valuable.
So, good for you, you got a chance to grab it, but I wonder how would you feel as a fan If you bought the first one  :slan: probably not very happy.
But yeah, that's not your problem, keep thinking that way.

My work is unrelated to this matter, I'm talking as an ex-big AoW customer. I'm not even coming to every AoW thread...
Man, If I complain, it's because I believe that If people didn't buy their products, everyone would be winning : you would get better products, and cheaper.
And I would add I never said anything hostile to AoW customers, since I own a good number of their products... I said I didn't understand why nowadays people would buy from them, and that AoW customers would be really insane, yeah. Sorry not sorry  but it feels extremely obvious to me why one shouldn't buy anything from them anymore.
Just check out Gecco and their Guts... 1/6 39800 Yens and so much better face sculpting than AoW ever did... For a much lower price.
Also, considering it's also 3D printed (everything except the heads), which is much more costly than traditional prototyping, yeah, I will say it again, it's insane to buy AoW with their prices.

"Haters gonna hate" imply I kind of enjoy pouring all my negative feelings toward AoW without any valid reason, isn't it ? Is that what you think?
I never said A toys were making only good stuff. I looked at this AoT product and man, please look at the size. The sculpt job isn't bad, it just needs a repaint. With some AoW products you would need a resculpt as well as a repaint ...
Large boxes for shipping ? I own their first zodd revelations and the size of the box was way too huge for the size of the statue...

As it's been said previously, their surveys don't mean anything. I could give you so much more powerful scenes that people would probably enjoy much more than this scene... But yeah it's cheaper and faster to re-release with a few tweaks.

Hey, I just wanted to say it always someone who like and someone who dislike. Good for you since you save some money for something better, good for someone who missed original run. If you talking about value you look like "I care only about the money". All that matter is emotions you getting, the motivation you have - when I was opening my first Art of War box I was more excited than ever buying my first car.
I have to admit that Art of War threat their every customer, sometimes you can mail them and request something - and whola, they can add items in stock and vice versa. I buy a lot of merchandise from Japan and must say that I had best services from Art of War. That makes me believe our surveys means something.

As for Gecco release you can't really compare handcrafted and handpainted polystone statues with printed PVC. If you like them - buy them, that's all.

And for A-toys boxes... Well, I'll just leave a picture.

I really have no Idea why people keep buying from AoW...
If I were AoW and with their means I would create so many great things. For the same price you could have a lifesize Guts bust... With a good face and decent paint, and not this...

They improved their faces but they are still not accurate to either the manga or anime.
The paint job is as always one of their strongest point but I agree with Rayhato the color scheme doesn't fit.

Overhall it's once a gain a giant flying fuck to collectors like me who originally bought a statue which was said to be " limited " and modified quite a bit and produced again... This is really ridiculous, and people who're buying this for this price are really insane....
Haters gonna hate, haha.
AoW performed like 6 customer surveys for last 24 months and I'm pretty sure they following customer requests. Doubtfully that we are all customers they have, that means people request re-releases more than a new statues.
I'm a bit upset of their new release policy because they won't show prototypes and we can only guess what statues are they working on. When I answer their survey I always copy our requests from this topic - - hope they will make Farnese riding on a Dragon Slayer  :ganishka:
I also suggest them to hire or buy sculpts from Shinya Akao-san, with his works Art of War will get a new level of quality for sure.

Price is 72 000 Yens ports excluded. For 43000 Yens you could own this ...
A-Toys have a shit quality, mate. Check their prototype of this statue, it was far way better. I wouldn't buy this even for 20k yen. And they ship their large statues in a coffin-size boxes so charges is unbelievably high (and yes, I like Shingeki no Kyojin too  :slan: )

It's at least a partial re-sculpt as well as a repaint. I'm happy to see something sort of new from AoW but I have the original Guts and Slan, it was the first AoW statue I ever bought in fact, and overall I don't like this new one as much. My personal opinion is that Slan's face and hair on this new one is not as good as on the original. Her face looks more scary and evil on the original. But I think her right hand actually looks better on this new one than the original though, the wrist of the right hand on the original sculpt always looked a bit too thin for my liking (even though I like the position of the right hand more on the original otherwise).
Partially agree.
What I like in this version:
- Paint job
- Guts looks impressive

What I like in the original (and dislike in this repaint):
- Color schema - purple hairs doesn't fit imo
- Price - I got mine for a less than a half of its current price tag, including shipping

I'd say I really love this statue and it definitely in top 5 in Art of War releases. I hope that people will like repainted version as well as the original.

I was right, this is Guts&Slan repainted.

Received my 2015 20th anniversary model today! Wooohoo!!  :ubik:
Me too. Still unpacked and will post some pics in a few days!

Is this a letter for platinum customers? You are able to preorder already?
This could be repaint of their older release (which is amazing, actually), if so - I have the old one and happy with it.

Look like serie will became monthly from this episode.
This is interesting. What caused such acceleration? it's been 2-3 chapters for a year last few years.

Was not sure where to post this, so i will just do it here in this thread. This is a recent drawing by Miura of Guts, which also includes his autograph of course. Probably done for a contest, in which the winner would get this drawing. This drawing also seems to be drawn with the brush, if you zoom in you can see the brush strokes. Im not sure though

Love it   :badbone:

Edit: Im not sure if it is a recent drawing or not, but it atleast seems to be one.
Good Lord! How could I miss that!
I don't know how to use manda auction anyway, but this is amazing drawing. I checked manda and it still hand't been sold, so I guess we can try to obtain it.

I saw one at yahoo for like 10.000 JPY unassembled. It would be nice if you'd post pictures in your work in progress, I'm also considering to get one for myself  :carcus:

Background a bit blurry so I'm not sure if we speaking about quality. Arm looks like mix of plastic with metal joint, are they really using metal parts?

Buying / Selling / Re: Liquidating My Collection
« on: June 25, 2015, 08:05:20 AM »
Wanted to give the heads up to the rest of the skullknight folks.  The seller is a very honest/nice gentleman.  I met him earlier in person today (after fighting a grip of traffic here in socal but it was worth it) to pick up Zodd and Wyald.....this has been missing in my collection for long enough and even if it's not exactly the right time to spend on statues, I decided to bite.  The transaction was as smooth as can be.  As I understand it, he is the first owner for all of his statues of Berserk and just never had the space/time to display.  Zodd and Wyald was in pristine/perfect condition per his ad along with the 100 man slayer Guts.  Highly recommended seller.  I will try to contact him for pictures of the rest of his statues to help him post it since he's having trouble with that to help facilitate sales.  Thanks again kaiser.

EDIT:  P.S.  Someone really needs to pick up that Guts and Slan, if I didn't already own it I would have picked that up as well for sure.
Man I'm soooo jelly. And his price is just... wow. I'm speechless.

You can upload them somewhere like and post links here.
It would be nice if you'd also provided you location and some more details. No offense but you are fresh member selling some rare pieces with price above average. I'm interested in Zodd & Wyald, personally.

Isn't it ironic though? People are now paying almost twice the price for the same statue while it's technically becoming less "exclusive" with each new version.
90k vs 130k, and it still cheaper than Max Factory. Plus as mentioned before, exchange rates are bit different this year.

Also this is a bit offtopic, but their last "Zodd & Wyald" was on auction a few weeks ago, and it was sold for like 470k jpy if I remember correctly. So I'm not telling we have a new "not be repainted" repaint incoming, but this could be a tricky plan to check how much people ready to pay for it :carcus:

I have to take a stand and not give AoW a single cent anymore, because that is the best way I can tell AoW that I don't appreciate their business policy.
If you have noticed, last repaint was sold out in a few hours, Femto 2015 version was sold really quick as well. Some of their less successful products - like spinning cannon or green skull knight - was in shop for months. So in terms of their business policy their managers doing great, once everything sold they can make a new release. I think you guys have to be loyal to products and not the company, the only reason I'm feeling bad about repaints is because sometimes they better than original run. For example, 2015 face paint are the best across other 20th Anniversary releases as for my taste, however I like color scheme of "last repaint" the most.

PS. I just realized... 390 of this statues total, so its like $400.000 only on this model.

as you know AoW is a private workshop. I guess in every query they made from time to time this 20th anniversary was the most requested one. I monitor their products for only few last years and can say that usually they making 1 new release and few repeaints per year. So for this year it should be Guts (Skull Head Berserk armor) VS Grunbeld(human ver.) in Berserk Comic Vol. 26 (1/10 Scale). I tried to ask if they planning something but you know those japanese, they never giving you straight answer  :slan:

Whoever bought this 1000usd limited figure, wait until they release yet another similar repaint with subtle changes & better than previous versions. Then you will know the feeling. As a consolation this is 300k yen more expensive. Previous is 90k yen. Now is 120k yen. Jeez!

Anyway Congratulations raihato!
Thank you!
I believe it have same price as in previous years with JPY>USD exchange corrected; I also understand what elder collectors feels. However, this is top 1 AoW item made so far and it had so limited first run. Maybe they should made a lottery for very limited items? I remember that last repaint was sold out in hour which makes it almost impossible to obtain.
I was not ready to pay 3900$ for aftermarket item so I really glad that they did a fresh version.

DAMN I MISSED IT AGAIN  :mozgus: :mozgus: :mozgus:
This is 3rd time I missing their order, I can't believe I'm so luckless. It was 5 am when mail arrived and now 9 am, everything sold out.

Up1. Well at least I like original version more than this new one. "Last" repaint was a masterpiece, still my holly grail "but no matter what".

Up2. Guys I just wrote them a letter with a query of any pieces available. There is a few on japanese site so they added a stock for me. 20th Anniversary, I'll have you now!

At first I thought it was a ThreeA release, but it is not.
So it is R.E.D. MARK x XFLAMES company and it is not japanese manufacturer. Some info there:

Up.1 I just found that amiami selling their figures as from "INFLAMES TOYS". Apparently, there is no guts available and price tag around 300$:

I like it but not for 68.000 JPY  :isidro:

Ah guys you were faster again (damn it was 3AM)  :ubik:

So he is huge, around 40cm. Same old pose yes, I already have 2 of them in this pose (and I pose my figmas like that too), the quality is superb at the pictuers. The face is actually good but eyebrows messing it a bit. Second face looks awkward.
Here the link from Gecco, translated from moonspeak:

Oh and yes I'm really upset that it is not his infamous kit (sitting on a rock). Really, really upset.
