Shootin' the Breeze / Re: NBA Best Playoffs Ever
« on: June 21, 2006, 10:00:47 AM »
Yeah, these Finals have lived up to the "best playoffs ever" label with some amazing games, plays, and Wade acting like the second coming (at least the refs seem to think so, eh Mavs fans? =). It's just a shame it has to share the spotlight with all these other stupid sports events like the fucking U.S. Open and other shit nobody but sports columnists pretend to care about.

The Super Bowl, no matter how good or bad it is any given year, never has to deal with this.

Anyway, tough foul call to decide the game (didn't look like Dirk even touched him), but Wade sold it better than his phony foul at the end of regulation, and especially taking away that time out. Still, if Howard called it, I'd be more disgusted if they gave it back. I hate the "lets give the call to the team that's down 1" mentality enough already, there was plenty of it to go around last night (might have even worked out for Dallas if they had their time out).

Anyway, time to start rooting for Dallas again so we can have Game 7! :guts:
Yeah those Play Offs were really something and the level of basketball was pretty high as the teams mostly stepped up and played soem "Balls out" defense!
The ending of game 5 in the finals was really ridiculous and took away the opportunity for a game seven as we now know! The foul on Wade couldn't be Nowitzki at all but neither Griffin(I think it was him) did really bump him with his lower body...bad call- even worse that it was a call of the final minutes!
I just was looking forward to see game six tonight but as I opened news today Miami was already celebrating...

...I mISSED THE FINAL GAME!!!!!! :miura:

Well I will see the summary later today and dry my tears upon Miamis win! I like GP and Zo having finally their rings so than can now end up their fellowship!

When did Wade become MJ?
Well concerning the last call you might be right- looked like MJ during regular season
But MJ is still untouchable in all concerns of his career!
Wade is not bad though but far away from MJ's status!

MJ=Griffith Wade=Guts... :badbone:

And the crowd goes wild:

:miura: :puck: :troll: :schierke: :guts: :zodd: :isidro: :chomp: :???: :judo: :griff:

We could have seen that in game 5 if the ref wouldn't have taken away Dallas last Time out...

P.S. It's funny though, I had the exact same thought about D Wade.
No Ariball but an offensive foul and a jump shot with some hangtime!

Nowitzki just doesn't take enough responsibility like Wade does...
...things will change back in Dallas- no more hoop di doo for GP!!

Game 7 is kinda unpredictable- both teams are capable of winning this series in a final game 7

I can see it...Game 7
5 seconds to go...Dirk gets the ball...

3- 2- 1 Dirk shoots...

I go for Nowitzki as MVP! He is just so important for the MAVS and really plays an outstanding season! Yet I like the Miami Heat too and I would really like to see GP and Zo celebrating their rings,...however I feel like Dallas is ready for their first title and it is not finally Heat time this year!

I can't wait to see the next game at 3 a.m. here in austria!O_o

Dwyane is great by the way!;)

Berserk Miscellaneous / Peter Jacksons "King Kong" got a little Berserk
« on: December 19, 2005, 03:57:36 PM »
Yesterday I found myself sitting in the cinema and watching King Kong.
At first I didn t really want to see it because when you got Dinosaurs and a giant ape in a Trailer you usually don t want to see the rest.

However I was kinda surprised that the movie was that good. Not really the story or the actors but the visual effects and having Peter Jackson telling again an old story.

Besides what I wanted to add was that the movie kinda reminded me of berserk as people got attacked by those monster insect creatures...especially if you think about the Berserk game you get some "dÚjÓ vu's"!
So I don t want to say that P Jackson was influenced by Miura or Berserk or anything but I again got a little hope that someday Berserk will be done as animation movie or animation mixed up with real scenes.
Thanks for this Visual Effects Party!

Olivier Hague was the essence of this board. The soul of if you want.
Four years ago, I was to first get in touch with Kentaro Miura's beautiful creation.
Kuroi Kenshi changed my life. the way i look at things.
same with me...yet you were the one bringing me into Berserk...
I made my first post at BSOM. all fascinated. in the first place fascinated by one person: Olivier Hague.
I also had my first post at BSOM and i think it was called:"Griffith loves Casca"
Olivier was one of the first i had contact with and even at that very early time he was already "the one"!
Later the community left for this place. I remember how enchanted every member was back then. Fishbomb. Griffith. Walter. CnC. Icefall... and Olivier.
I always have and I always will admire you for all your all-embracing lore around berserk, for your endless patience, for your mastery of the japanese language. For what you are. Thank you!
ich m├Âchte mich dem formlos anschlie├čen!

das grenzt ja schon richtig an Nachruf!

I am not used to read this forums... I came to this board in 2002 and see all this board as a big big big place where the true fans of Berserk gather to talk... it likes me too much... I believe that Oliver is a big loss, but the people that know him, can make him come back... I remember PL when he come to this board, he wasnt a member of the community, he never tried to be one... I don't know wth is he doing in this forum... if it was for PL, this board will have never been, because in that year he tried to close Skullknight.. , bah, he tried to people stopping the scans, I think he was doinga lawful thing, but people like me (i am from Argentina) can't get the manga... I know its pitiful, I know I sound like a people begging on the rain for a coin... ,but in the end, the people of the forum continue to doing a "service" for poor people like me who can't get the manga...
People like Oliver, Puella, Walter, Griffith are some of the people who deserves respect, not because the have 3000 post... because they are the pillar of the forum...
I want to say that Make Oliver come Back... PL will never be a member... he can create a user... but that doesnt make a member....
So I am asking, not, I am begging to plz talk to Olivier and make him COME BACK! PLZZZZZZZZZZzz
Muchas Gracias

R.I.P. Paradise

THats the worst thing i ever had to read on this board.
It really shocked me hearing that Olivier left and made me realize again that things have changed and so did this board.
Over the years i lost more and more the connection to Skullknight and the interest for discussion just faded.
I mostly liked to read through topics when OLD members like Olivier, Walter, Griffith, Puella, trapped soul(my buddy),...had their comments on it and that most of the time just made it readable or reasonable.
I don t know it just makes me sad that time has changed everything, but thats  how it goes maybe...
Olivier was for me the biggest influence and interesting part of this board and he leaves a hole that might not be filled by anyone.
This is a very bad news for this board...:_[

Character Cove / Re: Who's happy in Berserk?!?!
« on: December 28, 2004, 07:26:21 PM »

For me Berserk is a story that makes me think about different real- life- aspects and shows me ways of how characters could interact or cope with different situations or events with all their complexibility.
Partly i just get an impuls from it which just makes my brain creating strings of thoughts that combined with my own memories and experiences might give me a new perspective of certain things.

btw Puck is happy though!;)

Would be better (animation is animation, CG or not), but how would you fit the plot in 2h? It's better left undone imho.
What about an animation series?
I d like that idea...but this time it shoud be done right!

What is metrosexuality?
Its a live like a gay but you re not...thats how the media would put it.

So metrosexuals are people who are more into fashion, body care, make up and luxury lifestyle.
Actually it has no connection to their sexual habits i guess.
