Another update:

The Griffith Millenium Falcon on Horseback - LIMITED edition, WITHOUT Rakshas has been sold.

However, the Griffith MF on Horseback - LIMITED edition WITH Rakshas is still AVAILABLE!

You know you want it! =P

Thanks Sparnage, for plugging my post =).

But yes, Griifisu, in my opinion the Griffith Millenium Falcon Horseback is worth paying $219 for.  ART OF WAR makes great statues and spends lots of time hand painting and designing them.

However, if you are interested in the Limited Edition version of this statue, I have 2 for sale.  The paint colors are more vibrant IMHO on the Limited Edition, it comes with an extra statue of the character Rakshas, and they are indivually ### with a total of 300 ever made.  If you are interested in it, please Personal Message me.  I must warn you though, it'll be more expensive than $219.  Exclusive statues and variants are extremeley rare and hard to obtain nowadays.

Also, just a quick update:

The Beherit has been SOLD so I no longer have it anymore.  Sorry!

How much for the glass case?  Also, do you have any pictures of the Griffith statues?

If you mean the glass case with everything inside of it, that I'm sorry is not for sale =P.  But the case itself I bought at Ikea for around $170.  Great buy!  They have a few other colors too.

As for pictures of the Griffith on Horse, I don't want to open it all up and remove it completely to display it (I want to preserve it), but here are some pictures of it that I've found on the web and on the art-of-war website:

Hope that helps!

Oh, I should mention that I have a 100%, 100+ positive feedback on ebay.  My ebay ID is "monito-boy" if you would like to check. =)

Hello fellow Berserk fans!  Over the past 3-4 years, I've been collecting the ART-OF-WAR completed model statues for Berserk, and through all the ebay wars, yahoo auction japan fees, hundreds of emails, thousands of dollars... I'm pretty much finally done... (well at least up to date =P).

This past month has been a notable one for me, as I recently got lucky and was able to stumble upon several of the really rare statues I've been trying to find for ages.  However, as you can imagine, buying these particular statues all in one month's time, took a HEAVY toll on my budget... so basically, it's time I sell some I don't need =P.

Please take note though, the main reason why I'm selling the statues listed below is because I recently purchased a limited/variant edition of the same statue from japan or somewhere else.  However, many of those statues have not shipped and arrived at my home yet (I should have all of them within the next 2-3 weeks) so I won't actaully charge/ship these statues out to you guys until I actually receive my new ones in hand (in case something horrible happens and I don't ever get the ones I'm waiting for).  But, I'm posting these statues up a little early because I don't know how long it will be before I get buyers for all of them, and if no one buys them here on skullknight, I will most likely post these up on ebay (which will take time for the auction to end).

So, think of it as a "pre-order" and PLEASE, if we make a deal, even though I won't make you pay until I'm about to ship the statues out, PLEASE don't just make a deal without strong intentions to pay.  That will just waste my time as well as someone else who might have wanted that statue.

Okay, now on to the statues...

The most rare and prized statue I'll be selling is the Griffith Millenium Falcon - Horse Riding EXCLUSIVE edition.  It's the one that has the gorgeous blue metallic tint, and that also comes with the extra character Rakshas.  This one was limited to 300 in production... which is SUPER RARE.

I'm also selling a Griffith Millenium Falcon - Horse Riding EXCLUSIVE edition statue WITHOUT the Rakshas character at a reduced price, for those that want the horse statue but don't care too much for Rakshas and would rather save some $$$.

Both statues have an individual ###, have never been displayed, and come in a beautiful metal-edged box.

I'm also selling the original Japanese release of the Black Swordsman.  Again, the statue has an individual ####, has never been displayed, and comes in a metal-edged box.  Since this statue was the first statue ART-OF-WAR made for Berserk (and still one of the BEST ones), it's getting harder to find everyday.  Don't lose your chance. =)

(the picture below is a pic of an OLDER one I used to own, but sold a year ago... just using for reference)

Another statue I'm selling is the Guts Millenium Falcon - Attack Form statue.  This statue is DAMN cool, and is one of the few ART-OF-WAR statues that actually have an action pose (Guts swinging his sword).  I've displayed this statue for about 2 weeks in a glass cabinet that protects from dust.  I wanted to see how it'll look next to other Berserk statues (looking at the scale, etc etc.)  The statue is in completely MINT condition and of course, is individually #### and comes in a metal edged box.

Lastly, I have the Guts - Hawk Soldier, and the Griffith - Hawk Soldier statues for sale as well.  Both have been displayed in the glass cabinet for about a year, but like I said, it's a dust free cabinet, and I get no sunlight in my room =P (trust me... I'm super pale!)  Both statues are the American release in perfect MINT condition.

And as a side item, I'm also selling a rare Beherit pendant that was NEVER sold in stores OR on the ART-OF-WAR website.  It was strictly a promotional item at anime conventions and for the release of the Berserk Dreamcast video game 3 years back.

So, that's it for now.  I'll probably have more to sell in the future but if you are interested in any of the statues above, please personal-message me which ones you are interested in and I will give you my asking price.  Some statues I'm flexible on, but others I'm not.  You can also instant message me.  I'm usually on at night (Pacific Time, USA time).  My screen name is: DirectDK .

By the way, I live in Northern California, USA, and I will ship internationally.

I'll accept paypal or money orders.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions.  Cheers!

Surely it's not the same one as this one, is it?

That's the model kit for the statue.  Same scale, but of course, it's unassembled and unpainted.  Animeplus has been sold out of that thing for years though.  That store should really remove the listing.  I guess they like bragging that they actaully once carried it =P.  I've seen that exact same model kit go on ebay/yahoo auction japan for $600+.

It's all a rarity thing.  The prepainted completed statue (the one on ebay) retailed for 31,290 yen, which is about $300.  But that was wayyy back in the day and since they didn't make too many (#300 I believe??), and since it was one of the first statues art-of-war made for Berserk, the value on that statue has gone WAYYY UP (as you can tell by the auction =P).

Did you pay that much for it? Oh and what a sweet arse room you have.

Thanks for the compliment on the room! =)  I really need to move to a bigger place though.  I literally have no more wallspace ANYWHERE.  I want to put up more posters and stuff but no room!  After I get out of college, hopefully I'll be able to.

Anyways, no I didn't pay that much.  I'll personal message you about the price because I've actually bought a few things from that seller on ebay before, and he's a really nice guy.  I don't want to spoil his auction by letting everyone here know how much I paid for mine.

Pity It cannot be seen closer, but it does look nice.

Here's 2 pics of mine =P, hehe.  i took the pictures the first and only time i've removed the statue from it's box.  i'm too scared too leave it out right now.  my apt is not big enough to put it anywhere.  like the seller said, it's on the same scale as the other statues (unlike the skull knight hose & the griffith mf horse).  the thing is 18 inches tall and 20+ diagonal.  maybe later when i move into a nicer place i can afford a cool case to put it in.

the color turned out really bad when i took the pictures so i just made the pic b&w.  stuff sometimes looks better in b&w anyways. =P  it's pretty much what i do whenver a pic i take turns out bad (which is often =P).

and if anyone like to know, AOW now will sale directly to US customers.... the only thing we need to pay extra is the $25 bank charge for them to received foreign wires......

this is GOOD news.  i wonder if we can order older berserk statues from them as well?  that would be awesome!  or even the limited edition statues too...

i think going this way just might be better than ebay and all the other ways we spend our hard-earned money on STATUES!!

heheh, yah, i asked him about that, he told me he meant to type Guts (the "a" is right next to the "s" on the keyboard).  he'll probably change it eventually =P.

he also told me if anyone wants the stencil just email him (i believe his email address is on the site)

And the 1gig was once you unrared it that was the size of the iso file.

Ahhh... IC, yah, I sorta thought 200 megs was a bit too small for the game, but I burned it on a DVDR nevertheless. =P

But yes, if someone knows how to read japanese, a translation of the controller screen would be nice.  Like exhumethecorpse, I figured out the controls but who knows what else we're missing.

It's the demo alright!

I just finished playing it!  Btw, it's not 1 gig, it's a little less than 200 megs (at least the one posted on bittorrent is).

It's great!  By holding L1 and pressing one of the 4 face buttons, you can use your canon, knifes, arrows, bombs (like the dreamcast one), and by holding L2 and then pressing one of the 4 face buttons, you can summon your friends (Serpico, Isihdoro, Puck, Scherik).  I thought that was a nifty addition.

The sword is uber fun to slice people with too.  There's a good deal of variation to the swinging of the sword... though I haven't figured it all out yet.  One thing is cool is somehow you can run up an enemy and then stab your sword down vertically through the neck through the body, and then you flip over.  IT'S AWESOME.

Well, I don't want to spoil anything else.  I'll let you guys experience it for yourselves.  I HOPE it comes out in the US, mostly because there's a lot of dialogue during the game and it'll be great to know what they are saying!

Berserk Merchandise / Re:what's an "artist proof" art-of-war statue?
« on: June 23, 2004, 09:58:22 AM »
Ahhh... thanks!  Another forum member PMed me also and told me the same thing you did, so I'm pretty sure that's right. =)  I'm glad then, because I'll be getting a few artist proof statues in the next few days/week.  When I get them I'll post some pictures!  I can't wait!

For all those that have the skullknight on horse statue (or to all those that might know this answer anyways), is the statue the same scale as all the other statues (like normal skullknight, femto, black swordsman, casca, etc etc)?

I'm thinking, if the skullknight horse statue IS the same scale, it must be PRETTY HUGE...

thanks ahead of time for your help.

Berserk Merchandise / what's an "artist proof" art-of-war statue?
« on: June 17, 2004, 08:12:06 PM »

Just wondering if anyone knows what an "artist proof" statue is compared to the normal Japanese releases...

Are they different/better in quality?  Same or maybe worse???

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
