Manga Mausoleum / Re: Guts vs Zodd
« on: March 15, 2006, 02:06:55 AM »
I don't wanna raise pulses here, but people should stop asking factoids. And no more "who do you think will win if Guts & Zodd" fight again. If they do fight and if Guts is to kill Zodd, it won't be a stand-alone event, and not one about to happen anytime soon.

Did you even read his question? This isn't a VS topic, vote or who would win. He was just asking a question.

OK, tomorrow when I have time I'm going to do a rough of the Guts vs Zodd (II)

Look at the dynamite gloves page I put, they have it pretty organized.

I was wondering if you guys would like the idea of having every single fight in Berserk that went one on one summarized and put into the Encyclopedia. has a great encyclopedia dedicated to an anime/manga, and it seems like it's always improving. Well for those of us that have read most of the manga and would like to relive the fights, we could go to a section where the fight is summarized with pictures much like Dynamite Gloves ( does with every fight in Hajime no Ippo.

Well it's just a suggestion, and we can all work on it together.

Yeah, the encounter in the dreamcast game should count.

I wonder how that fight would have went in the manga, and how did Zodd not kill Guts. Surviving 3 encounters with Zodd, that's insane. Not only that, he had to fight that crazy guy in the end too.

I've seen this image before. Looks great.

It's an old west showdown, cowboy boots and all.  All it needs is a tumbleweed.  :guts:

Look at its beauty... the tumbleweed...

Seriously, on the way to Vegas, I've seen one of these so huge, a car ran it over and they had to stop for maintenance.

Wow... I forgot I started this thread, lol.

Here's an image I found and just added a qoute to it. I like this type of art, it looks cool, and you can see the MK II is ready to kick some ass. I really see that part as comedy, like in the trailer when it follows right behind him and the sun is reflecting on the camera, and they're running in slow motion.

I can't see it... but if you could, and if it's that great, would you be able to draw a Guts with his Berserk Armor?

Hmmm... off topic, but Guts had so many armors, I've been playing Mega Man recently, and I just picture Guts like transforming into other armors to defeat apostles... How silly of my imagination...

Amazing! Were you the one that did the berserk armor? When Guts first unleashed it? that's my favorite  background!

Yeah, I'm not trying to debate, but just discussiing the elite warriors of the world and showing what they've had to go through for us to live the way we do today.

Here's a nice video for you guys

Yeah, I want one. Well just because he's a welsh doesn't mean Rambo can't remind me of him.

Wow, never would have expected such an ignorant reply.

SAS did not travel in small groups to be proud or cool, bob. The best of the best were chosen to do incredibly dangerous jobs in small groups so they could get around without being noticed before they do the damage. Because they travelled in such small groups they had to be great soldiers to be so effective.
They were revolutionary and had alot of success, even without much support at first and as Slim said inspired other special forces units after WW2.

Don't know why I'm even arguing this, I bet you wouldn't be arguing about it if they were American. ::)

Agreed. the SEALs, known as the UDTs at the time, were on the beach of Normandy before D-Day even happen. Small units of men swam onto the beach to clear obsticles and gain intel.

You're all so special you should compete in the special olympics.

Wow, and thanks for wasting your time here fag. It's people like you who think they're cool all the time on the internet, like your some kind of veteran loser that bashes topics because he thinks that he's seen it all, over the internet.

This is my dog Rambo, picked him up from the shelter a few years ago. Best we can tell he's part pitbull.

Haha, he reminds me of Ein in cowboy bebop.

He's probably bigger.

Not to sure dude. But you know patrols and that shit kinda make things go fast. =\

Bah i don't see how it's a good idea to travel in 4 or 5 man squads. That's just bull shit. What are they going to do if they get in a fight and have to carry one of their guys to the LZ? Bull Shit. It takes two guys alone to carry one guy whoe's in full gear. Not knocking the SAS just that stupid 4 man squads because those fucking asses are all "hooah" about their stupid ideals and pride.

For our troops, it's good to go in a 4 to 8 man squad, becaue we have rangers and marines to come in for extremely heavy support.

I think that Guts should look how you have him, but with a calm face, and when he does his special move like in marvel vs capcom or w/e, like a fast combo special, then his eye should become white and he goes berserk, like in my pic.

Nooooo Tiny.  You lived a soldier ans died to an hero.

My cat loves to eat spiders too.

She lost her eye to pneumonia complications when she was a lil stray kitten.  I renamed her Gally when I got her, after Gunnm (Gunm?  Well, you know, Battle Angel).

Yeah, totally reminded me of guts.

She was the size of that bottle cap, now she's grown quite large. She's going to grow a radius of 6 inches, which is awesome. Wow, watching her grow has been interesting to me, when I first got her, she was very very tiny and now she's the size of a average size adult tarantula even though she's still a jouvie. her names Vicious, since she's very aggressive, that's her skin in the second pic.

recently, she's dug hole deeper in the tank, created a big ball of dirt and web the size of my fist and shoved it in the entrance. She did this because my roomate left the light on and it got up to 100 degrees. Afterwards I had to immediately buy moss and put it all over her cage soaked in water. She came out and picked up a handful of the moss to put in her cage and moisten herself and then she took the bowl I have in there and put it in her home for awhile till she drank all the water.

Good old Trenchi Jr. He died when he reached male maturity... Male tarantulas die soon when they're sexually mature, they're only purpose is to have sex... and the sad part was I didn't find him a mate, but he was the most awesome and nicest tarantula ever. He used to crawl right to your hand once you opened the cage, and when he was tired, he's jump back into it.

Precious at 12 years old. She is now 14, and has grown lots of more grey hair over her face... it's really depressing for me, she's growing very old and has fatty tissues growing around her body, possibly turning into cancer... She's been with me since I was 4 so it's just devastating to know she's getting really old. She still howls and gets very excited when I come back from college, and it makes me cry inside because knowing she's not gonna be around like that forever. In all, she's been a great dog and is pretty healthy for her age.

The SAS are pretty successful in everything they do. The two most trained forces in the US is the Army's Delta Force and the Navy's DEVGRU, both modeled after the SAS in many ways. The biggest advantage they have over the SAS though is the equipment they use, the SEAL's DEVGRU and Delta getting to use the most advanced technology to man in war. I'm not sure if Delta force or DEVGRU does espionage since they're kept secret pretty well, but I bet they do. The SAS are said to do espionage.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Special Forces Topic, and you?

They're "special" because they're their own type of force, I think that's pretty much the point.

I met for the Green Berets, They're a Special Forces unit, but some Green Berets don't like to be called Special Forces because they feel the need to keep out of the publics eye.

Mu uncle is a Green Beret, they're part of the army, and yes, they are Special Forces, even though some of them don't like to be called Special Forces because they believe that they are their own type of force.

They have the Airborne patch to prove it as well, because every special forces has to have that patch in order to be a full fledged Special Forces. In order to get it, they all attend Airborne school with the U.S Army in the U.S.

Navy seals didnt loads of them drown coz they were carrying to much equipment n were dropped in the wrong place?

This didn't happen to just the Navy itself, but many of our branches during our experiences in war. This is why overweight people to a certain extent can't join the military or qualify for SF.

Well there are a lot of forces I could have added, but there would be way too many Special Forces for the U.S. I just typed out the top best, even though all SF units go through very hard and very intense training.

Navy SEALs for me, since they get the most expensive and best intelligence + most advanced weapons, even prototypes.

I've created this topic in interest to speak of the warriors that fight the fights to prevent larger wars from waging.

Honestly, you guys don't believe of this as a world record do you? If Chuck Norris gave it a try, he could probably shit one out long enough to choke all of us with. It'd be that strong too.
