"Hello!"

That's as good a reason as I can think of why I'd prefer people like Nader not run, which also serves as another reminder as to the importance of the Supreme Court in this and every election, because, along with Nader, without Justice Scalia there's a good chance there would not have been a Bush administration (note: in the next 8 years, we could have as many as three Justices or more coming off/on the court). These things matter, and if more people voted in earnest instead of being cute or petulant about it, there'd be a lot less of that self-fulfilling feeling of malaise and disenfranchisement which leads right back to more of the same counter-productive voter martyrdom, or suicide depending on how you look at it.

Remember, while you're voting with your hearts, just make sure you're not allowing someone like this to be elected:

Yeah I was going to point out how he manages to usually take enough voters away from a major party candidate that it actually sways the elections, so all he can do is get enough votes to change an election but not enough to win himself. I decided to not say something so anti-independent party instead.

Seems Colin Powell has backed Obama for the Presidency, which some are speculating will reduce McCain's claim that his policies show a lack of "experience". Can't help but wonder if he's looking for a job in an Obama administration to have waited until it seems highly likely that Obama will win. Seems one more guarantee of Democratic trificta. On that issue, any good natured bets on how many seats in the House and Senate the Democrats will have?

I'm not too sure about that, he could just be doing it as a fuck you to Bush's golden boy.

Surely that message would've been stronger if he did it when McCain looked neck & neck with Obama? Where as now, it looks like Obama will win.

Well of course, but as it is right now it's just a lot easier to kick the other guy while he's down.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/johnmccain/3238578/John-McCain-endorsed-by-al-Qaeda-supporters.html

In a message broadcast on the password-protected al-Hesbah site, the group said they would also welcome a pre-election terror attack on the US because that would make a McCain win more likely.

In an endorsement that will not be welcomed by Mr McCain's flagging campaign, the group said that if al-Qaeda wants to exhaust the USmilitarily and economically, the "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate is the better choice.

"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said.

"Then, al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

"If al-Qaeda carries out a big operation against American interests," it said, "this act will be support of McCain because it will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda then will succeed in exhausting America till its last year in it."

Mark Salter, a senior McCain adviser, had no immediate comment.

The message is credited to a frequent and apparently respected contributor named Muhammad Haafid. However, Haafid is not believed to have a direct affiliation with al-Qaeda plans or knowledge of its operations.

Bold for disturbing.

Bah, it's just provocation. A small dog barking at you to remind you he's here. I think people should just ignore it.

SA.com is a comedy website, so it's not a real episode.

Yes it is a joke, sorry some people thought it was genuine. This isn't a joke though

If things go on like this Obama might not just win but win handsomely. Along with this I'm reading that the Democrats have a chance of coming out of this election with 60 Senators but more likely around 55-60. As for the HoR, I'm reading that the Dem's could get up to two hundred sixty something or at least the high two hundred and forties. Anyone else hearing anything radically different from this?

Well damn, screw you guys :judo:. I didn't read the link I just clicked on it, and I could definitely see Matt Stone and Trey Parker doing an episode like that, (I read the whole script, you bastards!) after seeing Indiana Jones get raped in three different movie references (Deliverance, and the Accused I know for sure) the whole Cartman cums his pants for Obama thing seems believably crude for them, so sue me because I fell for it.

That dance video was pretty damn impressively done. I just hope the outcome doesn't mean McCain has already won.
