As you said yourself, there have been machines of this er, "caliber" released in the past, but none with Berserk's name on them until now, right? So would Miura have allowed it? He didn't previously.The timing is unfortunate however. I don't know if Miura would have really had a problem with something like this, but without being able to know and it being only a couple years since his death....the pumping out of the continuation....it's not a great look.

I did some digging, because it didn't actually look official to me, but it is. Its name is L Berserk Musou (under the Musou license of Berserk, westernized as "Berserk and the Band of the Hawk"), and it is indeed very new (press release is April and it's not due out in arcades until June). Here's some official documentation on it.
