Haha brings back memories. This song would play at every party for like 2 years since it got out and everyone would know the steps for it.Th3Branded0ne said:Time for a song that I really dislike on my freshman year in highschool and I still do.

... been listening to it on repeat for the past 2 days.
I only recently got into SYL, like 3 years ago and avoided the band because this group of pretentious metalheads I knew listened to the band. But, my hate was for them and not the band, so I gave it a shot and I was blown away. I was so pissed I missed out on them!NightCrawler said:Ain't the cover art amazing (love the japanese SYL logo)
I remember when i heard "Oh My Fucking God" for the first time in 98. I couldn't process it. For me it was chaos and noise, didn't make sense. I didn't heard the album for 2 years until i could digest it properly.
For it's importance during my teens and early adulthood i can safely say it's my favorite metal album of all time. It was my way of venting and giving a big middle finger to the world. All about it is perfect, and encompasses everything i want from metal. Devin had minor strokes and would pass out while screaming during the recording of this album. A very pissed off 21y old he was. Unlike most angry records, this one breathes genuineness from every pore. Devin is a true passionate artist in that regard, you can always rely on honest art from him. The lyrics are blunt and unpretentious, almost of a stream of conscience nature. And the way it ends. That last song is perfect closure. You just feel spent, like you need a shower or to lie down for a bit
I can't choose a favorite song, it's so cohesive from start to finish. I think there's nothing like it, and there won't be ever again.
I'll go with "Underneath the Waves", for the lyrics and that over-the-top chorus. Pure wall of sound:

Although i think the most pissed off song he ever wrote (musically and lyrically) was "Shitstorm" from "Alien". It's the best example of a bipolar off his meds during a manic state:

Awesome song! Love Coheed. This soundtrack is going to be pretty cool. I'm surprised some of the artists they got.frankencowx said:This is awesome if you like prog rock:

First track off Batman Arkham City Original Soundtrack due out Oct 4th.
Awesome play on "The Killing Joke" and the relationship between Batman and his most notorious villain.
