Gatts: slipknot-surfacing

Slipknot would be a better fit for an apostle than Gutts.
A good fit for Gutts would be something loud, but tragic (e.g. In Flames)

I couldn't help but notice a few people listing Rammstein though...
I'm not sure how well any of Rammstein's own songs fit Berserk, lyrically at least, but there is a song from another German band in which Till, the lead singer of Rammstein gives supporting vocals, and I think it suits Guts if not a bit simply;

Forsaken by David Drair of the Queen of the damned sound track is the perfect song for the apostles.

Here's a strange one. some of the lyrics go alright with Berserk. Isolation by John Lennon for Guts and Caska.

Some of the lyrics are eerily similar, it is definately a song that has to be heard to appreciate the lyrics.

I think if you wanted to name an accurate "theme song" you would have to start looking at instrumental and classical music. Most of what has been listed here is not much more than trite and cheap. I mean, come on, Metallica? Slipknot? KORN?!?

I do agree with several of the listings though, and those are sadly limited to the bands I like (pardon my own personal biased). Iced Earth? Splendid. The Who? Great (as long as you forget the Limp Bizkit cover ever happened...) And, as for Nine Inch Nails, they're my favourite band so you can't go wrong with them.

I am just saying, some dark instrumental song suits a character like Guts (I noticed people get in trouble for using any other variation of his name...) a lot better then some contrived song by a sell-out band like Metallica.

I know it's probably a bad way to start off; offending people with my first post, so sorry. I am no expert, and will probably be made to look like a fool shortly, but Berserk deserves better.

My personal recomendation for Guts is "Casting Shade" by: Shadows Fall. It is extremely sorrowful, but at the same time, retains traces of -hope-, which is a fairly dominant theme throuought the series (moreso in the manga than in the anime).

This is just ridonkulous. In the paragraph below, you're arguing for how instrumental fits Berserk more, but in context with the paragraph ABOVE, the vocalized songs are just A.OK if they happen to be angsty band 1, 2 or 3 that got you through your "rough time" in middle school.

You don't have to be an expert on anything. As long as you know a few facts about the subject of argument, your argument is carefully laid out and doesn't contain FUCK UPS you won't normally get flamed ... unless you're Xechnao. Then, you're just screwed.

First of all bud you have to take under consideration that Berserk is a series and manga that has no rythm to it what-so-ever and is loud and insane. So trying to mix "classical instrumentals" seems to me a bit out of question. You might as well mix Dragon Ball with country music.

I don't like JUST Iced Earth, I like alot of different hardcore bands. Opeth, Children of Bodom, Slipknot, Murderdolls, ect. Then again I have my totally different rock genre bands like Weezer.

I like COB and Opeth as well, hell I saw Iced Earth/COB/Evergrey last month, but Slipknot in my opinion is just trendy crap trying to cash in on teenie bopper angst, same with Korn and all the rest of that ilk. I just don't see it fitting in with Berserk knowing how phoney the message is.

Besides there is hell of a lot darker stuff out there that would fit more appropriately. I don't want to get into a pissing contest about music so I'll leave it at that.
