Just how long are they going to try ride this gravy train? The popularity has drop a ton, I personally would like to see it fade away like every other fad.
Popularity died down? I guess the 6 to 9 milion copies sold in a 24 hour period is pretty weak then. :judo:

I'm forced to watch the little kids spend their money on a game that isn't worth the CD it's burned on.

Forced to watch like in Clockwork Orange?

Herald of Yama

"It is pure Potential"
nonononono, Voldemort isn't Harry's father, Griff--Voldemort is Harry, in dA F00tUr3!!1! :isidro: Harry accepts the eevill of his true nature, and then Snape kills him, proving that he(Snape) was the real hero all along. Then its discovered that Hermione was sleeping with one o' her professors to clep out, and she gets kicked out. I've intercepted a full MS of the last Potter BS, you see...

My friends and I plan to stand outside of Boders waiting for people to buy the new book so we can yell "Snape kills dumbledore! Whoever the @#!$ he is." Not to mention Avenue Q's "The internet is for Porn."

Good movie, the ending is great. I like to quote from it as often as i can. Too bad his other movie with tom cruise was pure garbage (eyes wide shut).

On Harry Potter.. If the author has to warn you in advance its gonna get darker (so scary.. dark harry potter :judo:) and someone will die, it must be for kids. She already spoiled it. If she wants to write dark stuff she should begin a new series, so she doesnt have to compromise her work in such a foolish manner. Most kids are not ready to appreciate death scenes anyway. She doesnt seem to know who she is writing for anymore, and is not worthy to even be mentioned in a thread with Miura in the title :miura:

Miura knows how its done :beast: All that struggle for the hawks survival, escaping with Griffith by a thread, then amazing battle with Wylde, then.. all for nothing. The sick feeling in my stomach after that, and swirling confusion in my head..... that is powerfull writing. Makes me wish I could get amnesia just to go through it all again.

(In hindsight I shoulda seen it coming. When Corkus got to lead the charge, that was so funny and I finally liked him. Shoulda known he was about to die :carcus: )

Oh well, everyone have a great time spoiling this book! But dont spoil for kids, thats mean.

But to add to that. I believe she is moving the story along like this since the real actor who played Dumbledor actually died in RL. Granted she may have written before that actually happened and it coincidently happend at the same time. In anycase, the kids that started to read the book in the very beginning are starting to grow up.

In such case, the 10 year olds who are now 15 or 16 (how ever long the story has been out) don't want to ready the little kid stories it may have been in the beginning and thus she is making the story evolve with them, just like the actors are growing up in the movies.

I think its actually a pretty cool idea but hey, what do I know. :carcus:

Great analysis of Kubrick's work here, really.

The guy died before film 4 and 5 were shot, so that's really not related, they'd have to change the actor anyway. And the story as well as the writing style have been supposed to evolve since the beginning, before the movies and all that. Kids should read one book every year, and grow with the characters, that's how the author intended it, and that's why the mood is darker now, why the students are dating each other, etc. Regardless, announcing that a character would die still spoils the story, but seeing how 40 years old people seem to be making a big deal out of it, I guess that wasn't unnecessary. Who knows, it may have prevented a few suicides and a good amount of depressions.

no actually what i wrote meant that i had already had a copy of the book. then i went online, came on to Skullknight.net and then i seen a topic saying "I Just Met Kentaro Muira!" so i clicked on it. and then i had that part ruined for me ::) I'm just happy i never seen the edit until i had finished the book.

Vaxillus

The one and only severed head
This entire scenario saddens me. I was unfortunate enough to walk by the book store on opening night to see all those little kids dressed up and acting as though they were the coolest thing ever (at least i saw a Harry potter gang beating though :guts:). Then all this garbage about people spoiling the story. Seriously, is it that refreshing to ruin the already sad and pathetic life of a 10 year old Harry potter fan? Now, the very members of this forum stoop so low as to post such adolescent garbage and then to put Miura's name in the title? BLASPHEMY! This alone makes the Nursery section worthy of its name.

P.S.: Just for the record, no, I'm not an upset fan. I have not, and probably never will, read the Harry Potter series.
