i did a little rewrite to

when marlene is watching over denzel near the begin i made it say

marlene: hes having a nightmare about him again
denzel: i dreamt of jeff tessar, (freind of mine i knew would be coming over to watch it)
denzel: rubbing his nipples... i was so scared
marlene: its me you should be worrying about
marlene: im still under 18!

it was a good laugh
(guess you had to be there too)


anyone notice that the scene they kept on showing in every trailer of cloud picking up the buster sword wasnt in the movie? "so now he takes sword in hand blah blah blah"

The scene was there. He talks about living for Zack (to honor his sacrifice for him) and living for something else. It takes place right after Kadaj is speaking to Rufus and right before Tifa fights Loz.

But they did remove the crazy missile launch bike-flip BS. I can't believe they cut out any action, let alone that over the EPIC Reno & Rude Vs. The Gay Sephiroths fight.

That was super-duper. I like "the boost" better.

It's not that they cut it out Grif, but they changed it. Instead of Kadaj firing his energy at Cloud and blowing the bike into the air with Cloud coming down on Kadaj, they now have Cloud leaping off a bridge with Kadaj on his bike instead of foot. Also the battle between Cloud and Kadaj in the early teasers is there, the scenery, animation, speed was changed.

Everything from the early trailers is there for the most part, just redone.

Finally saw it (damn I ran into every roadblock possible).

It was pretty, but yet again someone forgot to create that oh-so-magical movie tool called a plot.

I was lost almost immediately. I played FF7 years ago. It was my first FF game so I immediately changed all the names to gibberish thinking I was supposed to. "OH MY GOD! AFJALKF killed djfasf!!! Everyone get in that dude's crator!" It took me years to realize who everone was referring to when I ever got into a conversation about it. "Sephiroth? oh! you mean AFJALKF (pron. aaf-jahl-kif)!"

Only parts I understood were the action scenes. And with physics, gravity, and every other known force of nature completely ignored in these scenes, I suppose the only redeeming quality to the movie was that it was pretty.

So my review:
AFJALKF's entrance was random, as was his exit.
djfasf sure does show up a lot for someone who's being missed.
AAAAA is a blond-haired pansy
aDOGff's one line was delivered poorly.

Excellent review, I'll follow up with some observations of my own:

AFJALKF - If they had to, why didn't they just begin the movie with his return and use the rest of the screen time to have it mean something? You know, cut out all the meaningless filler... oh wait, then there'd be no movie. In conclusion, no movie was absolutely the correct course of action.

djfasf - Yeah, and cheating on AAAAA with her ex, his former best friend, in the afterlife; ouch, I'll never look at that slut that same way!

AAAAA - Agreed. They simplified his character to cliche brooding faggot type B; no doubt, pandering to their target audience. BTW, you notice the only real development in that whole mess was AAAAA goes from from being sad to... not sad! Yeah, that was worth rescinding a perfect ending to a complete story. But hey, now that they've taken this first step, now they can exploit it (and their idiot fans) forever.

Well I just watched it... fighting was really cool.


From my observations, it seems like *spoilers* Sephiroth was almost like a summon, like behomoth was, and that head was like the Materia... Well that's just how it seems from my imagination... I'm sure there's a real explantion since I had to read the SUBS and just watched it once.

For Advent Children it was never intended for all audiences such as non FFVII fans, so therefore it will receive bad reviews from many people once the actual movie is released. Yeah, so basically, it only sucks if you’re an objective viewer, which I guess that is what you'd call a "down side"; otherwise, it’s a fuckin’ masterpiece, right? :carcus:

And the best part is how they actually play the role of the objective viewer for a moment and point out serious and valid problems with the movie, only to dismiss that with so much more vague praise for the film, “You need not take such criticism seriously, it’s really great in a way I can’t explain, and someone that doesn’t dedicate their life to a video game can’t understand.”

After days my bittorent DL going FREAKING NOWHERE. I search the net and site that lead to IRC to DL it. Took just 8 hrs to finish the DL.

Overall the movie was good the story wasn't deep or anything but I was okay with that. The fight scenes were great but overdone too much DBZish and it felt it was made PG rated hardly any blood. But the ending was satisfying something that FFVII game didn't have.

Oh and TifaXCloud woot!!  :beast:

At first I thought it was Zack in Wolf form but now I think it's likely a representation of Cloud being a lone Wolf.  :chomp:
