Yep, and the actor does a pretty good job at being despicable.

Read the book? Also Legend of the Galactic Heroes is great for political chess and snappy dialogue, better than GoT I'd say.Groovy Metal Fist said:I like the political chess/leverage gauging, the snappy dialogue, and the uncertainty over who will live and who will die. But the pacing is frustrating. Are there any stories out there that have the charm of Game of Thrones but without the excessive teasing?
Griffith said:While I've always enjoyed the atmosphere of intrigue on the show, I never thought it was particularly riveting television, kind of stilted, choppy, and boring episode to episode. Things seemed to only happy on a macro level, and when they did it was kind of perfunctory. Even watershed moments like the Red Wedding couldn't hold a candle to the execution of Breaking Bad's throwaway moments. This season has been different. I don't think I've ever felt the way I did after last night's episode from watching a TV show.
Walter said:I stopped watching around season 2, because I didn't really like the tone or direction of the show. It seems more interested in adding flourish to the soap opera elements than the political and fantasy elements. Also, I've read the books and didn't particularly enjoy them, so I saw no reason to continue watching the TV adaptation. In my opinion, the interesting parts of this series are already over.
Walter said:Glad to hear that it's not complete shit though.
Oburi said:And yea, that last episode...I was so confident in the way it would play out only to throw my hands up at the end and go to bed speechless. I don't know if it made me feel sick, but it stuck with me for the entire next day. Like witnessing a car accident or something.
Griffith said:Too bad every season its the same shit with Dany because I haven't cared about her since season 2 and I hate her bloodless victories. At first I was happy with her progress this season, because it looked like we could finally move on, but if this is all they're going to do with her they might as well have dragged things out more. Use your ships!

The one thing I'm not sure about is his bisexuality--or I guess a more appropriate term would be his omnisexuality. I honestly don't recall that being a big deal to him. He seemed entirely interested in his paramour from what I remember.
