I wouldn't blame the salad dude. Well two weeks or a month is too long of a time. You should probably weigh your self twice a week, but only in the beginning of it and in the middle. EDIT: After reading your question I can see that I misunderstood it... well as for your current situation, I would just try to seek friend support whether it be here on SK.Net or your real life friends. If anything just try to do things to keep your mind off of your issues for the time being.
