Time for a song that I really dislike on my freshman year in highschool and I still do. :mozgus:
:mozgus: :mozgus: GRRRRR :mozgus: :mozgus:
Haha brings back memories. This song would play at every party for like 2 years since it got out and everyone would know the steps for it.

NightCrawler

Aeons gone, vast, mad and deathless
Now to some serious beats

http://youtu.be/V2idKXS3a_w

"I’m Dracula bitch
Don’t got a problem smacking a bitch
Kidnapping, attacking, with axes and shit
'til she decides to take Dracula’s dick"

"Goddamn I love bitches
Especially when they only suck dick and wash dishes"

:guts:

Kill people and burn shit :femto:

Infinte

They see me rollin', they hatin'.
This is track I've been listening to a lot these past few days, it's from Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Enjoy :guts:

SYL's City is a 10/10 album ...

... been listening to it on repeat for the past 2 days.

Ain't the cover art amazing (love the japanese SYL logo)

I remember when i heard "Oh My Fucking God" for the first time in 98. I couldn't process it. For me it was chaos and noise, didn't make sense. I didn't heard the album for 2 years until i could digest it properly.
For it's importance during my teens and early adulthood i can safely say it's my favorite metal album of all time. It was my way of venting and giving a big middle finger to the world. All about it is perfect, and encompasses everything i want from metal. Devin had minor strokes and would pass out while screaming during the recording of this album. A very pissed off 21y old he was. Unlike most angry records, this one breathes genuineness from every pore. Devin is a true passionate artist in that regard, you can always rely on honest art from him. The lyrics are blunt and unpretentious, almost of a stream of conscience nature. And the way it ends. That last song is perfect closure. You just feel spent, like you need a shower or to lie down for a bit :ganishka:
I can't choose a favorite song, it's so cohesive from start to finish. I think there's nothing like it, and there won't be ever again.

I'll go with "Underneath the Waves", for the lyrics and that over-the-top chorus. Pure wall of sound:

Although i think the most pissed off song he ever wrote (musically and lyrically) was "Shitstorm" from "Alien". It's the best example of a bipolar off his meds during a manic state:

Viral Harvest

Every Knee Bent Too Shall Break
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqlz-KVEYbQ

Envy's "Chain Wandering Deeply" from "A Dead Sinking Story"

Band kills it live, one of the most moody post-rock/screamo outfits I've ever seen.

I only recently got into SYL, like 3 years ago and avoided the band because this group of pretentious metalheads I knew listened to the band. But, my hate was for them and not the band, so I gave it a shot and I was blown away. I was so pissed I missed out on them!

Yeah, Devin's screams are SO painful and perfect on the album, it's remarkable. Everything's perfect, the vocals, production, tunes, lyrics. I thought the end of the album was weak but now it's coming full circle and I love the end a lot more! It's so versatile and you run through different emotions from beginning to end. It's not an all out quick quick DM album. Shitstorm's definitely brutal! I need to listen to the follow up - Deconstruction and master it in'n'out.

So Nighty, how many years do you think it's going to take to digest this (it might redefine the term "bubblegum music")?

Uhhh, yeah... well, Mr. Reed was right, it's not easy listening; can't wait for 80 more awkward minutes of that! I hope they tour on this record, "Hey, are you ready to... worship someone who actively despises you!? ...Yeah!? Yeah!!? OH YEAH!! 2, 3, 4..."

Anyway, in the meantime, here's a more accessible Lou Reed collaboration:

First track off Batman Arkham City Original Soundtrack due out Oct 4th.

Awesome play on "The Killing Joke" and the relationship between Batman and his most notorious villain.
Awesome song! Love Coheed. This soundtrack is going to be pretty cool. I'm surprised some of the artists they got.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E34i-l3Knu8 Those Who Slay Together Stay Together - Chiodos. About a zombie apocalypse. I always think of the Walking Dead when I listen to it since it came out at the same time. When I saw them live I went ape shit when they played it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yeql9GQAlXA Killing A Classic - Drop Dead Gorgeous. Would love it if these guys would tour again. Unfortunately I think they're breaking up or somthing.
