Like Rocky V, that movie officially NEVER happened. Fun though.

Walter said:You might want to watch it by yourself first. I remember one or two scenes in particular when I felt really embarassed to be watching it; red-faced, hoping none of my roomates came in and asked what I was watching.
"But"? Don't you mean "AND" or "thus"? =)

Need a boost?dwarfkicker said:Which parts?
dwarfkicker said:Do you think it was better than Episode 3 (sorry, I just had to)
"Griffith No More!" said:I hope it's better than the context and vibe I get from the hundreds of trailers, basically that they had nowhere interesting to take these characters, so they're going to reunite all of them for a big needless retread of TEH FINAL BATTAL so we can all buy FF7 again.
"Griffith No More!" said:Yeah, well if it's so short, I'd rather not see these characters outside of cameos at all, or any lame new ones to generate artificial plot (SEPHIROTH CLONES OMG!!!!). I mean, does this thing have a genuine creative point to it? Did they have an idea besides, "Hey, FFVII made money, more FFVII means making more money; brilliant." So far all the elements involved look like a bunch of smoke and mirror bullshit to substitute for any kind substantive story or character development.
Then again, if The Spirits Within was their attempt at something genuine (cause they sure weren't making money =), maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.
"Griffith No More!" said:Holy God, this might actually be good, I mean, not really, but entertaining, good like Commando or Superman II (as a matter of fact, the three baddies look like they're right out of Superman II). Like, Final Fantasy VII Pornography. 8)
HEROS REUNITE TO FIGHT GODZILLA AND CLONES! SEPHIROTH REBIRTHDED! SOMEWHERE, SOMEHOW, SOMEONE IS GOING TO PAY!
And I hope that wasn't the Black Mages playing that cheeze rock over One-Winged Angel... =)

Funny that you mention that, I actually haven't figured out how to add the subs in my player (VLC Mac for those who are wondering ). Could that be the explanation of why I enjoyed the movie?Walter said:Update: Turning subs off provides the best experience.

I don't mind watching this sort of stuff with a sense of humor, but it's difficult to do when Square takes ITSELF so seriously (GEOSTIGMA!). That's why parts of this movie are embarassing instead of being outright comedic.ELEKTRO said:You have to watch this kind of movie just to have some mindless fun and clear your mind, just like pretty much every Jackie Chan movie out there, if you were expecting a "deer hunter" out of this movie well, I don't know what you were thinking. FF7AC had plenty of Eyecandy and lots of good action sequences which pretty much surpassed my expectations after spirits with in.
P.S. I wouldn't mind square making a sidestory or a recap for FF6 as long as Kefka was alive *muahahaha*.
