Really? He looks terrific in this.

No doubt. He's fantastic in both of these trailers. What I meant was that given Phoenix recent uh... stunts, I had doubt about his return to form as a real actor.

New trailer for Dredd.

I'm a big fan of the comic, and loved the first movie (guilty pleasure), and this looks pretty good. As long as he doesn't take off his helmet, then it's going to be good.

They already took it down! I liked the first movie as well... but I'm a sucker for anything with Prochnow or Assante.

The Man With The Iron Fists ... looks like a fun movie to watch with a group n such.

Looks fun, yeah. Completely over the top.

I think Dredd's gonna be great. It kinda reminds me of Stallone Cobra in a way, probably because it's not really clear if we're supposed to take it as satirical. It's pretty funny when this happens in action movies with a mass-murdering protagonist.

Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Edition

Saw this a couple of days ago on amazon and it looks like the awesome 25th anniversary edition in a new box, not a new cut of the film (which would actually be kind of a setback, defeating the purpose of the "final" cut).

This movie has the worst advertising since Prometheus:

Ok, so I'm supposed to avoid this, right? Is it like cigarettes or something? This poster-style billboard doesn't even do it justice, the regular billboard version outside my apartment makes no fucking sense and looks like any random shitty PSA from some small-time interest group.

Being a fan of the 2000AD comics, this is a film I have been waiting to see for a long time. Seeing a Judge Dredd movie makes me happy that it's difficult to really say, plus the way that this film looks in it's style and cinematography I think it will easily be better than the Stallone Dredd all those years ago.

Probably one of the more interesting posters previews I've seen involving Giant Robots, the way that Pacific Rim looks however I think in alot of ways this could be better than the 3 previous Transformers movies. Plus if there is one thing about Del Toro is that he is one of the great storytellers of Modern Cinema that we have going right now so I will definitively see how this turns out.

Those films have struck my eye at the moment.

Even better than the Transformers movies?! :isidro:

But will it be better than Battleship?

I don't know, I hope so. Because Battleship was just about as bad as I expected it to be, Pacific Rim does look interesting and plus I put my faith in Del Toro as a storyteller to do something interesting with this.

I can safely say I have no sperm left in my body after having seen this. GDT is one of my favorite directors, so obviously I can't wait to see this.

Fassbender to star in Assassins Creed movie? Produced by Fassbender's production company? Not sure what to think.

Now the only question is which Memory Character is he portraying? Is it altair ibn la ahad or is it Ezio Auditore.

Doesn't have to be either. Could be a new character in a new time period. That's part of what makes the AC series so cool, to me.

This is also True for all we know the character that Fassbender is playing could be the lead character in the post Desmond Miles Trilogy.

Amy Adams' narrative at the end sort of breaks the atmosphere here. But I won't let the crappiness of this trailer turn me off to what looks to be a great movie.

Not a crappy trailer, but not a good one either. The other teasers were more interesting for sure.

I stayed away from the first one because it looked like a modern wussy action movie with merely an 80's veneer, but, so be it, they're leaving me little choice this time...

Still, I see a couple of young prettyboy losers in there and what's a WOMAN doing on the poster!? That might be a disqualifier, the only woman that should be in there is Sigourney Weaver. :badbone:

Though, I hear Buffy the Vampire Slayer's own Charisma Carpenter is in the films playing Statham's girlfriend or something. Well, I might have to reconsider again (Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Geller, would be a better fit considering she fought monsters on TV for seven years and shares initials with the submachine gun, but I'll take Cordelia =)!

Argh, no! I don't want to be tempted by this! The first one was such a painful experience it's still smoldering in my mind.

The Last Stand ... I don't expect it to be technically sound but it's just the novelty of watching Arnold where the action is at least decent.
